Ski resort Uzana is located at 1300-1400 meters altitude in one of the most beautiful parts of Stara Planina. Uzana is located in the heart of the Natural Park "Bulgarka", which is famous for its centuries-old oak forests and diverse wildlife.
The area offers excellent conditions for all kinds of winter sports.
Nestled among centuries-old oak forest, the ski resort is located at only 22 km from the town of Gabrovo and is considered as the geographic center of the country. Uzana has a ski track with a length of 1300 meters, equipped with tow skiers. This is actually the longest track in the resort. There are also 7 smaller runs available for the beginners. The ski resort resembles a huge alpine pasture, discovering amazing and fabulous mountain views. In winter, tourists can rent snowmobiles and enjoy the whole area covered with puffy snow.
Chepelare is located at 1120 meters above sea level and has about 6000 inhabitants. It is 220 km from Sofia, 74 km from Plovdiv and 10 km from Pamporovo. The city has a 4-chair lift with a length of 3 km, leading to the Mechi Chal, where is the ski area of Chepelare. The total length of the ski tracks is 28 kilometers.
Ossogovo is located near Kyustendil. It has a well maintained snow (fun) Park. Ski track Osogovo has a high degree of difficulty and is suitable for advanced skiers. It has a length of 910 meters and width of 45 meters. Average slope is 22%. The lift type is "anchor" with a capacity of 720 persons per hour. The length of the route is 913 meters.
The track in Osogovo has its own system of artificial snow, making skiing and snowboarding possible even in low snow cover. And for the extreme riders there is also lighting for night skiing.
